KYN (Know Your Neighbourhood) a user-friendly hyperlocal application designed for neighbourhoods, facilitating seamless communication, identifying local businesses and importantly encouraging and promoting talent within the community.

KYN's TAKE ONE Short Film Contest is a step to promote local talents, celebrate films and the art of filmmaking. The goal is to provide a platform that empowers individuals to establish their identities and achieve recognition as directors in Indian cinema.

Contest Theme
“Know Your Neighbourhood”
  • The plot of the short film should be centered around at least one local element of your Neighborhood i.e, people, areas, landmarks, events of neighborhood, as a significant character.
  • Short film must be from 2 minutes - 5 minutes.

CONTEST REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Download the KYN app - IOS | Android
  • Click the Carousel of “Take One Short Film”
  • Read the Rules & Regulations
  • Click “Register” to fill in the required details.
  • Upon verification of the details, an authorized representative will validate the information and give the necessary permissions to upload the short film on KYN Account
  • Upload the short film in your KYN account

Contest Process

  • Top 25 short films will be shortlisted for Stage I of the competition
  • In the Finale, Top 3 films will be selected to Screen their short films in the presence of the Jury.
  • In addition, all submissions will be made available in the KYN platform for public voting. The most liked film will be also be rewarded
  • Chosen films will also be showcased in the various on-ground activities for public viewing and appreciation.

Technical Specifications

  • Video should be in 1080p quality
  • The file size must be limited to 2GB.
  • Proper CC and Audio should be done
